Power assist is an important addition to any boat, especially with multi engines.
The boat in this video belongs to the Wildlife and Fisheries. It originally had a power assist but it was mounted on the bottom and at the rear of this catamaran-style hull. That was not a good place for the power assist as it was always wet by bilge water.
The new installation was in a deck-height cabinet at the rear of the boat. Now the power assist is high and dry and works perfectly on this twin-engine setup.
